OUR MISSION

Restoring, transforming, and equipping the family of God for kingdom impact.

LETTER FROM THE PASTOR

What would it look like to become heaven’s representatives and mirror what God is saying and doing in our region?

For the past 10 years my family has had the great privilege and honor of serving as pastors at Bethel Atlanta Church, a plant from Bethel Redding, California. This opportunity exposed us to some of the greatest leaders on the face of the planet. We were also confronted with a mandate of becoming an apostolic resource center to Atlanta and the Southeast region.

Over the summer of 2016 while on sabbatical, God began speaking to me about stepping into my life long dream. I received prophetic confirmation and encouragement from spiritual fathers daily.  I knew God was calling me to transition into planting a church on the northside of Atlanta.

As the lead pastor of Resurgent ATL, my dream and vision is to see the kingdoms of this world become God’s kingdoms. I see us becoming a conduit for that to happen as we raise up a group of powerful, multi-generational people; a family that will steward the gifts He has given us.

I pray heaven will be poured out onto the city and surrounding areas as we pursue His presence, operate in the supernatural, and love people with the extravagant love that He has so freely given each of us.

CORE VALUES AND BELIEFS

As a church family, Resurgent ATL maintains relationship and history with Bethel Church in Redding, California.

We are also a Bethel Leaders Network church, and as such we subscribe to the core values and beliefs of the Bethel Movement.

OUR UNIQUE IDENTITY

In addition to our observance of Bethel’s Core Values and Beliefs, Resurgent ATL stands as a unique family with our own personality, and as such, we have values and beliefs that express our identity as a church family.

We believe that Church is a Family who creates Community that transforms Culture.

Family

Sons and Daughters Doing Life Together

Family is the center of God’s original plan. In the beginning, the Heavenly Family existed in perfect harmony – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In creation, humanity was added to the Family as the Bride of Christ—whom Jesus restored through his death, resurrection, and ascension. He restored the glory we had before the foundation of the world, which was relationship. Heaven is family. We feel that Family is the foundation for Heaven to transform the Earth.

Community

A Family of Families

Our team is Family first. We do life together. Before we are Apostles or Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors or Teachers, we are first Family. This creates a home where everyone belongs. Doing life together creates a strong community where all are welcomed, not because of what they do, but for who they are. With family at the core, a family of families creates a strong surrounding community.

Culture

Heaven On Earth

Within a community that is made up of a family of families; apostolic gifts, ministries, and callings emerge that will both overtly, and covertly transform culture. Family is transferred through the community to the surrounding culture. All ministry flows through the community from family.

OUR CORE VALUES

OUR MISSION

Restoring, transforming, and equipping the family of God for kingdom impact.

God Is Good

God describes Himself as gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. God is good and, by nature, in a good mood.   Psalms 103:8-14

Salvation Creates Proper Identity

Jesus has won absolute victory! We are forgiven and freed from the enemy’s power of sin, sickness, lies and torment. We now operate in the power of righteousness, healing, truth and joy!      2 Corinthians 5:17

Honor Affirms Value

Honor recognizes and affirms that every person is valuable and powerful. We are made in God’s image; He died to restore us to relationship with Him, therefore we are significant.   Ephesians 4:23-24

Extravagant Worship

Our first ministry is to God. As we behold Him, we are moved to worship with joyous passion. God delights in us and has always desired to be with us. We focus on His presence because we have discovered that He is focused on us.   Psalm 27:4

Jesus Empowers Supernatural Ministry

Jesus promised that signs would follow believers and they would do even greater works than He. We owe the world an opportunity to experience the power of God and an invitation to salvation because Jesus sent us into the world, just as the Father sent Him, in the power of the Holy Spirit.    John 14:12-14

Generous Like My Father

God is extravagantly generous and our generosity is a response and reflection of Him. He is a good Father who gives good gifts to His children.   Ephesians 1:3
